Instructions
- Prepare the Broth
In a medium pot over medium heat, add sesame oil. Sauté garlic and ginger for 30-60 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the broth, then stir in Azeka’s Maui Original Sauce and soy sauce. Bring to a gentle simmer and let cook for 5-10 minutes to develop flavor. - Cook the Protein
- Chicken or Pork: Add directly to the simmering broth to warm through.
- Shrimp: Add to the broth and cook 2–3 minutes, until pink and opaque.
- Tofu: Lightly sauté in a separate pan with a bit of oil until golden, then set aside.
- Chicken or Pork: Add directly to the simmering broth to warm through.
- Cook the Noodles
Add ramen noodles to the broth and cook according to package instructions (usually 2-4 minutes). - Add Vegetables
Stir in veggies of your choice. Think mushrooms, peas and bean sprouts into the pot during the last 2-3 minutes of noodle cooking. Add bok choy or basil just before turning off the heat so it wilts gently. - Assemble the Bowls
Divide noodles, broth, vegetables, and protein between bowls. - Finish & Serve
Top with green onions, soft-boiled eggs, sesame seeds, and a drizzle (or generous squeeze) of Da Red Lava or Da Green Lava Sriracha for heat.
Tips & Variations
- For extra richness, add a splash of coconut milk to the broth.
- Make it spicy from the start by stirring Sriracha directly into the broth.
- Swap ramen noodles for udon or rice noodles for variety.
