Tropical Shrimp & Avocado Bowl with Azeka’s Spicy Maui Original Sauce

Sweet, tangy, and a little spicy, this bowl is summer in every bite.

Looking for a vibrant, refreshing dish that satisfies without weighing you down? This tropical shrimp bowl hits all the right notes: juicy marinated shrimp, creamy avocado, sweet mango, and a zesty citrus drizzle powered by Azeka’s Spicy Maui Original Sauce. It’s a breeze to prep and ideal for lunch, dinner, or your next backyard gathering.

Ingredients

Serves 2–3

  • 1 lb shrimp
  • ⅓ cup Azeka’s Spicy Maui Original Sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • 2 tbsp lime juice (fresh-squeezed preferred)
  • 4 cups mixed greens (arugula, baby spinach, or romaine all work)
  • 1 mango, peeled and cubed
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice or quinoa (chilled or warm)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • Pickled red onions
  • Toasted coconut flakes
  • Chopped macadamia nuts
  • Thinly sliced chili for heat

Instructions

1. Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl or resealable bag, combine shrimp with ¼ cup Azeka’s Spicy Maui Original Sauce. Toss to coat, cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to let those tropical flavors soak in.

Tip: If you’re short on time, even 15 minutes will do the trick.

2. Cook the Shrimp

Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until just opaque and slightly charred. Set aside.

Want to grill? Thread shrimp onto skewers and cook directly over the grill for a smoky finish.

3. Build the Bowls

Divide the mixed greens and cooked rice or quinoa between two bowls. Top each with mango chunks, sliced avocado, and the grilled shrimp.

4. Make the Citrus Drizzle

In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining Azeka’s Spicy Maui Original Sauce (about 2 tbsp) with the lime juice. Drizzle generously over the bowls.

5. Customize & Serve

Top with your favorite extras like pickled red onions, toasted coconut, or crunchy macadamia nuts for texture and flair.

Serve immediately and enjoy your tropical escape — no passport required.

Pro Tips

Sub the shrimp for grilled tofu or chicken for a different twist.

Make it a meal prep win by marinating shrimp and cooking rice in advance.

Double the marinade and use it as a dressing for other salads throughout the week.
